American roots run deep. The first cyanoacrylate was patented by Dr. Harry Coover out of Kingsport, Tennessee.

After discovery of the cyanoacrylate adhesives by Dr. Harry Coover in 1942, Toagosei Japan Ltd. began producing the strong, fast adhesives, also known as super glue, using their high quality Japanese production capabilities.

In the late 80’s, a joint venture was formed to handle go-to-market activities for the Krazy Glue super glue product line which was in high demand. At the same time, a manufacturing and distribution plant was opened in West Jefferson, Ohio by Toagosei America Inc. to supply the joint venture with Krazy Glue product.

Product design and final assembly occurs at West Jefferson, Ohio to this day using global and US components.

During the pandemic of 2020, Toagosei America Inc. decided it was time to use its deep expertise in chemistry to create value and happiness for people. Prices were increasing everywhere and the people needed brands who would find innovative ways to keep costs down and the value high. It was time to help the American consumer in new ways.

In 2022, Toagosei America Inc. launched new tape and adhesive product lines under the Krazy Products platform.
